Il Regalo
is Italian for "The Gift". We've named
the house Il Regalo because we believe
this very special place is a gift from
God. We're Del and Diane and
we live in Northern California on a
beautiful hillside looking out over the
San Ramon, Amador, and Livermore
Valleys. The
sunrises from our home are truly
inspiring and a constant reminder that
"His mercies are new every morning".
Because both Del and I love to entertain
and share this gift with others, we
built an outdoor kitchen and

I
love beautiful things and I love to
decorate. However, I also want to
be a good steward of the resources God
has entrusted to me. In addition,
I grew
up with some very thrifty parents,
especially a Dad that was always making
"something from nothing".
So, I am an avid bargain-hunter.
I love to make something look like a
million bucks and do it for pennies on
the dollar and I'd love to help you do the same.
I've found that the best way to do this
is by garage saling. Before you
turn up your nose at the thought, let me
hasten to add a few stipulations. This
only works if you live within easy
driving distance of some wealthy
neighborhoods and are willing to invest
some real time on Saturday mornings.

Del has rekindled his love of
photography and I am also enjoying it.
